• The triathlon year runs from 01 September - 31 August each year.
• Every current and new member must complete the registration form for the 2009/2010 season.

Triathlon Club Kit: You can now race multisport events in any kit you like at a shop discount with an iron on logo of the Troisport Tri Club. – There will still be the official red Zoot race suit available, at subsidised cost of R700
 
Road Running Kit: With regard to road running, athletes must race with the official club run vest with the Nedbank registration number on the front and the back. The club vest must be worn with a black running or tri short of your choice (P.S. Marc likes running skirts .... on girls)
 
Cycling: We have no prescription here, but there is an official Troisport Tri Club cycling shirt available. (to be worn with any black shorts of your choice)

• Shop discount structure on apparel, nutrition, swim and bike accessories of 7.5% on cash/eft purchases and 5 % on credit and debit card purchases (this excludes bikes). Club members get to know of specials before the general public does in the shop newsletter
   
• Join our triathlon club and get access to a running affiliation (Central Gauteng Athletics and KZN Athletics) as well as to cycling affiliation (Central Gauteng Cycling) by paying actual costs only. There is no need to join an additional running and cycling club.
   
• Joint Venture with Sunnninghill Striders – Troisport Tri Club members will now have access to the club runs, TT’s, running race hospitality of Sunninghill Striders. They do operate an honesty box on top of their cooler box, so please honour both! Check out the Sunninghill Striders website on www.sunninghillstriders.co.za. Sunninghill Striders members will have the favour returned by Troisport Tri Club.
   
  There will be a three monthly Asics shoe draw at the Sunninghill Striders Tuesday Time Trial, with compliments of Troisport and Asics.

  The low down:
  We have started a Triathlon Swim Squad at the Sunninghill Virgin Active in Sunninghill with Aqua Athlete. Some of you already train with Adrian Goate's Swim programmes (Please note that only actual paid up club members will get the benefit of the discount) This model will come at the following costs: R500 - 10% for Troisport Club members on a month to month basis. Should you pay for three months in advance (R500 per month excl the 10% discount, you will get your Fourth month free. That brings even a bigger saving) For those who Sunninghill VA is not practical, are welcome to liaise with Aqua Athlete regarding their existing squads at Broadacres, Cresta, Randburg, where the same discount applies.

• Discount of R20 on cover price for one year (R110) on presentation of their Troisport membership number. This offer is valid only while the member is a bona fide member of Troisport Club (i.e. 01 Sep 09 – 31 Aug 2010).
   
• Renew your subs by 31 October 2009 and receive a complimentary Under Armour Tech Troisport Tri Club T Shirt that normally retails at R399.
   
• Three for the price of two: Enter all three of the Troisport Joburg City Tri series in the shop with a cash payment by the third of December and only pay for two – So the whole series entries are taken care of with an upfront cash payments where you get 3 races for the price of 2!
   
  This excludes the Central Gauteng Triathlon day license charges, should that be applicable to you. (R275 saving on the Olympic distance race)
   
• We will have another club deal to Ironman South Africa 2010, being held on the 25th of April.
  
  Again, we will assist to upgrade the first thirty paid up members who apply. We have Under Armour involved and they will provide each participant with a high tech shirt. There will also be some other surprises! Troisport will sponsor a portion of the difference between the full entry (R3150) and the Specsavers entry cost (R2200). The difference is R950, of which Troisport will pay R600. You MUST however race in Troisport branded club kit.
  
  The process is as follow:
  
  1. Enter on www.ironmansouthafrica.com as (a) a Specsavers sponsored athlete or (b) enter as a full entry athlete. This depends on your own circumstances.
  
  2. We accept applications from paid up members only from the 29th of September onwards. When applying, provide us with your entry class (a) or (b), stating your entry status and reference number at Ironman South Africa. (Again only paid up members for the 2009/2010 triathlon need to apply and applications will only open on the 29th of September.
   
  Then await confirmation of your spot from Werner. If you are a (a) Specsavers sponsored athlete, you need to deposit R350 into our club’s account, using “IMSA And your Name” as reference
  
  3. This whole process will close on the 20th of January 2010, or when the thirtieth athletes have booked and confirmed.
   
  4. We will then upgrade you with the Ironman office (a) if you entered Specsavers with Triangle, paying the difference over, or (b) if you are a full entry athlete, we will reimburse you with R600 in cash or as a shop credit (Please advise us on your preference when you make your booking!)
  This process will take place between the 21st and the 31st of Jan 2010.
